WiFi of X6100 FW V1.1.5

I made a mistake. I wrote earlier that if you use WiFi of X6100 FW V1.1.5, you will not be able to restart, but it worked even with WiFi settings (PI fixed).
However, if I set Bluetooth (mouse + keyboard in my case) ... I can't restart.
You can restart with a WiFi connection.

How is this diagram in the manual supposed to confirm which is positive and which is negative?

The black wire appears to be the shielding and the white appears to be center pin. This, I'm assuming the white is positive and black is negative?

XIEGU X6100 Heat Testing - 20 minutes of FT8 at 5w produces too much heat

I tried to warm up the radio today and measure the temperature by transmitting CQ on FT8. Unfortunately after about 20min the radio crashed with TX on and this happened twice.
Power 5W, external 12[V] power supply. The temperature reached 45 degrees.

Hi i am doing my 4 charge/discharges , and on my last one now, The radio has been left to discharge just in rx mode on low volume,
and after a full charge the radio shuts down only after 3.5hrs, This does not seem correct as the manual says the radio only takes 330ma max in rx mode,
how long are users getting with there radio in rx mode on the internal battery,

I found this info on the Radioddity Website discussing battery charging.

This X6100 charging method is what I had found. Charge with rig OFF, charge with LED flashing until off, then charge for about an additional hour.

When turn on rig just after LED stops flashing the displayed battery voltage was around 7.9V. If let charge for the additional hour then when turn on rig the battery voltage displayed was 8.2V.

During normal charging with rig OFF I found using ext supply the current draw was around 750ma. After LED off and additional charge the current dropped to less than 250ma.

This agrees with the explanation given.

X6100 will not turn on unless the power supply

In need of help my 6100 will not turn on unless the power supply is plugged in as soon as i unplug it it shuts off.

Understanding the X6100's heating due to the external power supply

I wanted to further understand the X6100's heating due to the external power supply's current and thus power (in watts) as the power supply's voltage is changed from 13.8 to 9 volts DC. The mode was CW and an external dummy load was used. See below for the data that I collected.

Some observations:

1. In receiving only, the power to the X6100 stays constant at about 6 watts. My X6100 will get very warm after being on for 30 or more minutes. Note the X6100 manual specifies that the maximum receiving current would be a max of 330 ma. So much for Xiegu's specifications!

Solution: X6100 overheating

For those worried about overheating, please consider a couple of heat sinks. I ran my X6100 yesterday for over an hour on FT8/CW on 9 watts in the field with minimal heating issues. Made 20 POTA contacts.
